Right out of the box my Sabertooth Z77 wasnt able to connect to the Internet. Have you tried adding it as a master on the secondary controller? RIGHT-click on it and, from the menu, choose to Partition the drive. I try a restore and got nowhere and system restore from dvd and message no hdd space, same with a win 7 disk I borrowed. Sorry, there was a problem flagging this post. The system recognizes the HD and gets some information on it, it just won't load Windows. I did not know that Windows and the controller would behave this way and did not find anything on the internet that would point me to this. Too long of an IDE cable can introduce signal integrity and timing issues.

So, both show up in the BIOS ( the WD HDD wasnt showing in EZ mode, but I was able to find it in the advanced mode ) but I cant Need help, because I think this might be a mobo problem and not a drive issue. This second hard drive gets detected in the bios and even gets detected by SpinRite 6.0 when I boot up. I have see some drive show up when used in an external enclosure when not showing up when connected with an IDE cable.
