If I do decide to see who it is I usually tell them Microsoft don't ring people and they hang up. I contacted customer service as soon as I found out it happened. Perhaps… perhaps you gave access to the scammer, believed their lie, and paid up. I have tried ending the call and they just call me back and ask me why I hung up on them!
