Apparently there is a "patch" in the works. Symantec Corporate 9 and AVG didn't detect it until too late. Yes formatting the three machines would seem like the best way to go BUT unfortunately not all of us have the luxury of simply formatting and starting all over. It does NOT infect any other "media" file. I am not sure what caused the problem but I had uninstalled some software I didn't need. Follow the instructions. My Upper Filters were already missing, but I removed the lower filter, re-started and both of my DVD Roms re-appeared.
