I took it to Apple, and the volume was working at the time (because the volume sometimes comes on for a minute or so) and the said that there was nothing But I listened to someone on here's advice and cleaned the ear jack with alcohol and a Q-tip.. What finally helped for me was connecting it to a docking and disconnected it again. From India Duhhh!!!! To solve the audio problem just connect your iphone to a computer and open itunes. navigate here Just blew into the headphone jack and volume bar reappeared. Sounds insane don't worry it's not water, it's alcohol. So what I suggest is to replace it for new part(you will avoid IOS update errors!).

Tried everything in this thread, and only the credit card trick made it come back. Anyway, what I did was turn it off, and spray some air in the dock from a can of compressed air. I changed the audio sound port which was a tiny blue circuit board connected with two cables and two screws and the volume works fine now.
