I think it is being used by the SB32PnP ISA card but not sure. It's well within acceptable limits.Even more strangely, I added (curiosity and what did I have to lose?) the second drive which, partitioned, became D & F. Is this Setup the same as BIOS? It was| during that collection/sifting sequence that the "Over Top" install| became apparent. So here is my problem. I do NOT recommend a reinstall very often and reseerve it as a last ditch effort to get back into a system for proper maintenance or troubleshooting.lolol, Gary ..

I have a Gateway, PII, 300 mhz, 10gb hd, Win98SE, 128 mg or ram. Everything seems fine except for the "Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)" problem listed in device manager. Has anyone been changing hardware recently? Did the reinstall on your Mom's PC take care of her problems? I checked the partition info with both Fdisk and Maxtor's utility (good on both), reformatted the partitions and recloned the old drive (which I have been doing for backups for years.
